FLA Conference Buddy Program

The FLA Conference Buddy Program, which is modeled after the LITA program, provides new attendees the opportunity to connect with "pros" and learn how to take advantage of all the great opportunities available at conference.  This new program aims to cultivate an educational, rich and inspiring experience for both new and seasoned attendees.  Ask questions, meet up at social events and attend the opening session together; just to name a few perks of your conference buddy!

To sign up for the FLA Conference Buddy Program, as either a new or experienced conference attendee, please fill out the requested information when you register for conference.*  The Conference Planning Committee will pair up participants and send conference buddy assignments approximately 2 weeks before the event.  If you have any questions, contact Cheryl Wolfe, Conference Committee Chair at 813-204-2657 or WolfeC@HCFLGov.net or Gene Coppola, Chair of Leadership Development Committee, 727-784-3332 ext. 3001, gene@phlib.org.

Deadline: Interested participants will need to be registered by April 20, 2018.

  • Meet before you leave to discuss your experience at conference

The experienced conference attendee is also asked to commit to:

  • Reach out to the new attendee to schedule a meeting

  • Offer suggestions and advice on getting the most out of conference attendance and FLA membership

*You must be a current FLA member to participate
