Your Honor Roll donations help support FLA advocacy activities such as
- Developing a Legislative Platform which presents and defends the state funding needs of all types of libraries and supports library-related legislation
- Using a professional lobbying firm to take our platform to the Florida legislative and executive branches
- Presenting Library Days in Tallahassee, to be held on February 19 & 20, 2008

2007-08 Challenge
Along with your donation to the Honor Roll, please give a little extra to assist with this year’s heavy advocacy need.
2007 has been a turbulent year in the Florida legislature. FLA worked to stop threatened cuts to State Aid to Public Libraries and continues to actively provide information to library staffers and the public about the impact of approved and proposed property tax and state budget cuts. The need for a strong advocacy program continues as we face a 2008 legislative session and more proposed funding cuts.
