During a rousing performance on big taiko drums, Sensei Ron Collins shares the history and culture of this ancient art form. For centuries, across Asia, drums were used to drive away pests in the fields, to send messages, and to celebrate the change of seasons. After learning how to properly play, everyone gets a change to perform a song on our big drums!

Summer Reading Program is 45-60 minutes, $350, with discounts for multiple bookings. For larger audiences (250 - 1000+), our ensemble is available for a fee of $600 - $1200, depending on location and how many performers (up to 6) we send. Our theater act stage performances can last 30 - 90 minutes, per request. Our big drums have been to libraries in every corner of Florida, from Key West to Pensacola, and our program is fun and educational for all ages!

Frank and Mary Lee Sweet perform as Backintyme. They do storytelling and music from the 19th century. Frank plays the banjo in the classical style of the time and Mary Lee “rattles the bones,” keeps time with tambourine, or beats on the old jawbone (of a donkey.) History will come alive as you hear the popular songs of the nineteenth century, performed as they were written, by songwriters Stephen Foster, George Root, Henry Clay Work and others. Sing along to favorites like Oh Susanna, Camptown Races and Grandfather’s Clock. Tap your feet to the lively music of nonsense songs, patriotic songs and gospel tunes, or enjoy the gentle love ballads of nineteenth century America. Bucky & GiGi present “To Boldly Go Where No Clown Has Gone Before”! This summer Commander GiGi kicks off a comedic race to space with her cosmic clown and canine space cadets. Expect fun with juggernaut juggling, mystifying magic, and celestial comedy. Award-winning performers Sandra Hughes and Michael Hickey have delighted audiences of all ages at libraries, schools, museums, theatres and festivals throughout North America, Europe and Mexico with their three original, interactive comic and dramatic mime and mask shows written, directed and choreographed by Sandra. Illusions features handcrafted masks created by Michael. Mostly Mime is a mesmerizing performance experience. A Mummers Tale, an engaging journey into the magical world of Irish folk theatre, has been performed throughout Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Denmark and for Atlanta's Celtic Christmas. Sandra’s Irish mummers plays are included in the Irish Collection at The Ohio State University as works of “significant cultural merit”. Mask making and mime workshops are also available with these performances.

The Kids' Music Circle is an interactive music program geared toward ages 2-9 but open to all ages providing a fully participatory, engaging, and fun musical experience for children in a group setting, inspiring creativity, love of music, and connection to one another and the world around them. This is accomplished by incorporating joyful singing, rhythm making, and creative movement led by experienced song leader Noam Brown using live guitar. Mr. Noam incorporates songs that are new and old, familiar and unfamiliar, songs in various languages from various cultures, and makes it easy and fun for everyone to sing along and fully participate!The Kids' Music Circle will keep an audience engaged, singing, dancing, and making music together. Equipped with a sound system, visual aids, and plenty of instruments for participants to choose from, this 45 minute participatory activity will be sure to be a memorable highlight for the children.

$350/45 min program for any library greater than 60 miles from Lake Worth, FL. I am based in Palm Beach County and have performed for all branches of the PBC Library System as well as the Lake Worth, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton municipal libraries. I have also performed at many of the Broward County Public Libraries including at this year's Storybook Festival. I am excited to perform anywhere in FL provided that I am able to cluster bookings that are a great distance from Palm Beach County, or schedule multiple libraries along the driving route.

"The Art of Fooling Around" is literacy based, putting the fun in reading is FUNdamental. This is a theater program. 10 weeks, one-hour class each week: reading/writing skits and jokes, making costumes, juggling, facepainting, balloon twisting (math skills), puppet making, fairy tales/fables and storytelling. Performance for other students/parents at last class. Educator workshop is a mini version of this.

Series of 10 one-hour classes culminating in a performance (up to 20 students) - Cost $500. Condensed workshop for any of above, 3 hours - Cost $275.
