2020 Lightning Rounds:
Developing Your Library's Future Leaders

Lightning Round Description

Planning for the future is vital and the Orange County Library System makes sure part of its focus is on developing future leaders through its Spectrum program. This program consists of library Assistant Managers who meet monthly to share and discuss successes, challenges and ideas from each department and branch around the system. Meetings focus on developing important leadership and management skills so Assistant Managers are more prepared for the next step. Spectrum managers rotate to a new department or location every two years to gain a system-wide perspective, work with different manager styles and learn the diverse communities that make up Orange County. Spectrum managers also work on special projects that keep the Orange County Library System moving forward.
