GREG FORBES SIEGMAN

As a child, Greg spent much of his time in the library. The lessons he learned from his favorite books sparked a lifelong interest in service and diversity. For his subsequent civic and philanthropic efforts, he has received honors such as the Jefferson Award for Public Service and has been featured by media such as Good Morning America.  A former educator, Greg has lectured or served as Scholar-in-Residence for schools and programs in different countries.

Geared toward students (5th grade reading level and up), his first book (The First Thirty) was NSDLC Multicultural Relations Book of the Year. The expanded edition for adults (The Silhouette Man) was honored in Canada as a book that celebrates the wisdom of seniors. Greg has participated in the READ poster campaign to support libraries and has collaborated with literacy programs in the U.S. and Canada. His website is www.GregForbes.com.
