2020 Lightning Rounds:
Leading in Financial Literacy: Money Matters Programs Made Easy

Lightning Round Description

Learning how to manage money is an important life skill that should begin at an early age. While many library patrons may have an interest in improving their financial literacy, finding a qualified professional or presenting the program yourself may seem daunting. The Federal Reserve’s free personal finance resources can help to improve the money skills of both children and adults. Using classic children’s literature, story time activities can teach children how to spend and save wisely. Older students will enjoy taking home activity books and playing online games on budgeting, decision making, and even how to plan for college. Adults can access a wealth of online and print materials to build a better understanding of credit, debt, saving, the economy and how to budget, including materials in Spanish. Learn how to put these resources at your fingertips and easily build money matters programs for your patrons and their families.
