2020 Lightning Rounds:
Looking Back and Thinking Forward: Building Your Self-Assessment

Lightning Round Description

In the annual performance evaluation, writing a strong self-assessment is a crucial step – even if your organization does not require one. We do so much in the library world, it is challenging to remember everything accomplished over a 12-month period. A well stitched self-eval shines a light on those accomplishments and provides invaluable support for your supervisor in what can be a challenging process. And since meaningful activities are important to overall strategic success, this ongoing practice can help library leadership track the organization’s progress. This presentation will outline the benefits, key components, and useful resources needed to take charge in constructing an impactful self-assessment. Leading Forward = Reflecting Back + Thinking Ahead!
