2020 Lightning Rounds:
Pitch in a crunch: You have 30 seconds!

Lightning Round Description

Picture This:  you’re on your lunch break in line at the supermarket, and the lady in front of you turns around and notices your work badge.  She says, “Do people still visit libraries?”  Here’s your moment to convince this stranger that she’s been missing out on all of the wonderful programs, resources, and services offered at your library. An Elevator Speech is a great tool to use when you’re put on the spot.  It’s a short sales pitch used to spark interest in your organization.  The pitch should communicate the who, what, and why of your organization in an interesting, memorable, and unique way.  In this presentation you will learn the elements that should be included in an Elevator Speech.  We will also discuss when and where to use these speeches effectively.  After attending this presentation, the next time you are out and about, you will be prepared!
