Showcasing Florida Libraries

Florida certainly has been through its fair share of storms over the years.  We are on continuous alert during hurricane season and even have been unfortunate when mother nature doesn't look at the calendar and strikes in December.  Through these tumultuous times we learn how to rebuild and strengthen after the storm.  Taking center stage in this process is your local library.  They are a the heart of communities all over the state and act as a beacon during times of crisis.  Here are some Florida libraries that have accepted the call to action and are serving their towns after hurricane Irma:

Downtown Central Manatee County Library

Hillsborough County Libraries

Marion County Public Library

Polk County Library Cooperative (PCLC)

If your library has been featured in a news article and you would like to be added to our list, please contact Karen Layton, FLA Membership and Events Manager at [email protected] or call 850-270-9205.
