Presenter: Anne Marie Casey, Embry Riddle Overview: "Fundraising Basics" Libraries of all types experience fluctuations in funding from their communities or parent organizations; often finding themselves needing to do more with less. As a result, libraries may need to develop new revenue streams, and one way to accomplish this is through fundraising. But many of us don’t know where to begin. This webinar will cover basic fundraising and offer tips for identifying and approaching donors Learning Outcomes: • Learn the basic steps of successful library fundraising. • Understand how to identify and approach prospective donors. Anne Marie Casey is Dean of Student Support at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). Prior to this she was the Hunt Library Director at ERAU and Associate Dean of Libraries at Central Michigan University. She holds an AMLS degree from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Managerial Leadership in the Information Professions from Simmons College. Anne Marie has participated in fundraising for libraries and other community organizations. |
