Poster Presentations Proposal Form
The FLA Professional Development Committee invites proposals for posters for exhibition during the FLA Annual Conference at the Hilton Doubletree Universal, Orlando. To learn more about the conference, please go to the conference page found here.
We encourage Poster Proposals to be related to the program theme "Tell Your Story"; chosen by our 2025-2026 FLA President Allison Grubbs. For more information on the conference theme, please view Allison’s President's Message.
Posters offer a unique avenue to share innovative services and ideas. Posters illustrate some of the many ways that Florida libraries are taking chances, trying new opportunities, and having fun.
We will accept poster proposals from MONDAY, JANUARY 13, through FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
Each presenter will have access to a poster display board and a table on which handouts and other materials can be placed.
Access to electrical outlets might be sparse, so please plan accordingly.
Poster proposals should be well written, original, and contribute to the advancement of Florida librarianship. They should also include a good visual description of the project.
The Continuing Education Subcommittee will review all submissions and make selections with the following criteria in mind:
- Does the idea connect with the conference theme?
- Is the idea clear and the description thorough?
- Does the proposal contain clear learning outcomes?
- Is the poster about an especially timely or relevant topic?
- Will the topic provoke an interesting discussion?
- Does the presenter plan to engage the audience in a unique way?
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 2025 at 11:59 pm
Acceptance emails will be sent out by: FRIDAY, MARCH 21, 2025.
All poster presentation presenters must be registered for the conference (either the full conference or for the day of their presentation). March 31, 2025, is the deadline for early registration, which offers a significant discount. Poster proposals submitted by vendors
will not be considered.
