COLLABORATE WITH US TO CRAFT AN IMPACTFUL CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE!
Do you have innovative programs, research, or success stories to share with your peers? We invite you to submit a proposal to present a BREAKOUT SESSION OR PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP at FLA 2027 ANNUAL CONFERENCE, MAY 11-14, 2027, a premier gathering of professionals committed to shaping the future of librarianship in Florida.
This year’s conference theme, 'AI in Libraries: Friend, Foe, or Future?', examines the current and potential uses of AI in libraries: exploring new possibilities, learning together, ethical implications, and keeping libraries human in an increasingly AI-driven world. Conference Breakout sessions should provide practical insights, spark meaningful conversations, and equip attendees with tools to take back to their libraries.
We encourage submissions from diverse voices and perspectives. Whether you're a seasoned presenter or a first-time speaker, your insights can help make this event impactful for all.
Other Important Details:
Most sessions will be 60 minutes and must begin and END on time.
All accepted conference speakers must register in order to receive a name badge for entry into the meeting space. FLA does not pay any honoraria or speaker travel fees. Speakers who are attending strictly to present their session and not attending any other conference functions, may register complimentary, although FLA greatly appreciates donations to help with the overall costs involved in producing the conference. Accepted conference speakers who plan to attend other sessions or conference functions are expected to pay the applicable registration fee.
Approved presenters must send a draft of their PPT to the planning committee for review one month prior to the event.
Approved presenters must present IN-PERSON. Hybrid technology will not be available.
