The Florida Library Association (FLA) will be closing its physical office in Tallahassee by the end of October 2025, and staff will begin working fully remotely. Due to FLA's financial situation, we are having to do this to cut our monthly expenses such as rent. Other cost-cutting measures that we have taken include suspending our lobbyist's services through at least November and negotiating our accountant's fee to a lower amount through the end of the year.
Despite a successful 2025 conference and robust fundraising efforts, FLA’s Executive Board made this difficult decision, as the association is falling short of its revenue needs due to lowering our Personal membership dues and declining overall membership numbers.
Our phone number and email addresses will remain the same, so you can continue to reach us as you always have. We will share our new mailing address later this fall.
